Plan
of the Campaign

The Campaign
sees that the Wall Israel is building in the West Bank is a political wall
based on the racist imperialistic thought. The Campaign rejects the idea
of “security” propagated by Israel as the main reason for the building of
the wall, since we see that the wall allows Israel to control almost half
of the lands of the West Bank. Moreover it accomplishes political goals
creating a reality on the ground that makes any demands of Palestinian
givens mere dreams “as they are viewed in Israel”. The Wall draws boarders
on the land and takes over the main water sources and agricultural lands
in the West Bank and places the Palestinians in Ghettos; racist with
gates that are under the control of the settlers. The Wall destroys
economic establishments and deprives Palestinians from work and education.
In brief the Wall not only cancels the possibility of the establishment of
a Palestinian state, it also cancels the possibility of a Palestinian
existence on this land
In Egypt the issue of
the Wall is still an issue based on sympathy and not on knowledge or
awareness of the issue of the wall, its damage and the danger of the
victory for the fascist and racist mentality over the Arab and Egyptian
awareness and culture. The establishment of such principals will establish
political and cultural ideas that present an obstacle to progress,
development and change in the Arab societies and aggravate tendencies that
will not only adversely affect the region but humanity as a whole.
The group working on
this Campaign has chosen a specific time line for the Campaign to coincide
with the period during which the International Court of Justice in The
Hague is studying the case. The verdict, whatever it comes out to be, will
be a motivation for the continuation of the campaign against fascism and
racism. In the case of a positive verdict, awareness will be the new
beginning for work and the crystallization of strategies and the
achievement of new gains, to the contrary of the sympathy based on a
absence of facts which will make this a victory that will end the issue,
which is not a true matter. Awareness, in the case of a negative verdict
will make us more determined to continue the struggle to the contrary of a
verdict of this king that is accompanied only which will cause a situation
of frustration. Let the Campaign start with the Land Day March 30, as a
tribute to our Palestinian people’s struggle and end with the anniversary
of the disaster on May 14/15 making it a memory that will incite us into a
continuation of our work aiming at ending fascism and racism.
Operational Method of the Campaign
Decisions will be
taken by a majority vote through personal communication
-
The Campaign will work on communicating with all
possible committees and establishments that work or would like to work for
the Palestinian issue. We will support, and receive support from said
organizations and work along side them.
-
The Campaign views itself as a part of the
propaganda against the wall since the advertising of such efforts will
gather strength to inform about the issue and point out its danger and the
public’s rejection of the wall. The Campaign therefore is interested in
revealing its efforts and its work
-
The Campaign is looking to get adequate
financing from one or more parties with attempts at self financing through
some of the revenues of the Campaign (T-shirts, CDs… ECT), personal funds
of the participants, collecting donations from the audience of the various
activities. This campaign will endorse financial transparency through
publishing its budget on its web site and updating it on a weekly basis.
In the case of a surplus existing at the end of the Campaign, it will be
returned to the sources of finance in proportion to their donations. The
share belonging to the personal contribution of the campaign’s volunteers
will be re directed to the support of similar efforts dealing with the
same issue.
-
A list of contributors will be published on
the web site along with a note of acknowledgement to all who participated
in effort or financial resources to the Campaign.
